Gambling is the only leisure activity where you will
earn some money when you passing your leisure time. In
any other form of entertainment you never get anything
in return for your expenses except fun. But gambling is
itself a peculiar fun that gives you earning opportunity
also. Therefore if you want to utilize your leisure time
with earning some quick bucks, go for gambling.
Gambling is practiced since long time in different forms
everywhere. But in spite of its huge popularity still
till date gambling is a controversial issue. Though it
is legalized in many states but legalization is not out
of controversy. It is right that gambling has both
advantages and disadvantages. But its always depends on
you on which side of gambling you welcomed.
The Pros of Gambling:
No
can deny the advantages of gambling. Gambling really
boost the state economy. Every gambling legalized state
is more developed than gambling prohibited state.
Because gambling activity always boosts up the economic
condition of a state. Gambling helps state to collect
maximum revenue which generate state development fund.
The revenue that collects from gambling activity also
utilizes on education and health.
Gambling also encourages tourism industry of a state.
Gambling legalized state attracts so many tourists every
year. People loved gambling and they can go anywhere for
gambling. Therefore gambling legalized every year gets
huge amount from outsiders.
Gambling also reduces unemployment problem. Due to
gambling various industry set up like hotel,
transportation, etc., which offer numerous employment
opportunity. Today apart from traditional casino
gambling other form of gambling also developed like,
online gambling, sports gambling, cruises gambling.
These forms of gambling also help in boosting state
economy.
The Cons of Gambling:
In
spite of its so many advantages gambling is considered
as bad activity only on moral ground. No religion
propagates gambling. Because of its addiction problem it
looses all its charms. Gambling destroy the lives of
many people and a society as a whole. The people who are
addicted with gambling always ignore his family and
personal life. They never serious with their work place
and they often avoided their duty. This could lead to
family breakdown. Pathological gambler suffers anxiety,
depression, guilt and which results suicide of gambler.
Compulsive gambling causes financial problem which
further develops criminal behavior among gamblers. Due
to advent of online gambling youth also trap in gambling
addiction which is danger for our future.
Though gambling has some negative effects but it
entirely depends on you as how you treat
gambling. If
you are playing it for fun, it’s good for you.
